TEAK


During Recent recording sessions with Michael Carpenter, Cameron met Country artist Tameaka Powell, professionally known as TEAK, she happened to be in Sydney recording tracks with the studio time she had won as the winner of the worldwide Fender player competition.

Teak is a vocalist and songwriter of exceptional originality and beauty, raised on a farm in Northern New South Wales by a family of country music lovers, where she cut her teeth appearing at local rodeos and country music festivals.

Her song writing skills were soon discovered and she was dispatched to Nashville, where she collaborated with many Nashville writers, resulting in cuts on George Straight and Ashley Mc Bride albums.

Her chance meeting with Cameron resulted in her song ‘Rolling Stone’ becoming a duet. A biographical observation of her life on the road “Some people have fire in their soul to really live life, explore and value each and every day”.
