Press Release Rock of Oz Ages Podcast

A powerful new chapter in Australian music storytelling begins this month.

Rock of Oz Ages debuts Thursday 10th September on YouTube, with new episodes premiering weekly at 3pm (AEST)

This exciting new series celebrates the soundtrack that shaped a nation — the songs, the stories, and the artists who defined generations of Australian music.

Each episode's chat journeys through the eras that forged our cultural identity:

From the raw energy of the 1950s and the birth of Oz Rock, to the swinging 60s, the explosive rise of pub rock in the 70s,

the bold and unapologetic 80s, the grunge-driven 90s, and right through to today — shining a spotlight on the next generation of groundbreaking Australian talent.

More than nostalgia, The Soundtrack of a Nation connects the dots between past and present, celebrating the pioneers while championing the future.

The series is presented by respected artist managers Michael Browning and Richard Cartwright, bringing decades of industry knowledge, authenticity and first-hand insight. Their unique perspective offers audiences rare access to the stories behind the hits —  and the heartbeat behind the artists.

This is not just a music show.

It is a celebration of Australian identity told through its greatest soundtrack.
